Assisted Dying Bill
Today I am at the Scottish Parliament, representing some of our Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living members, to witness and hear the voting on the Assisted Dying Bill.
This is an incredibly significant and sensitive moment — one that carries profound implications for disabled people, our rights, our protections, and how society values our lives.
I am here to ensure that the voices, concerns, and lived experiences of our members are present in this space, even when they cannot be in the chamber themselves.
Whatever the outcome, it is vital that disabled people are not just considered, but actively listened to and involved in decisions that affect our lives so deeply.
I will continue to advocate for dignity, equality, and the protection of disabled people’s rights at every stage of this process.
