New project: Voices at Work

GCIL is excited to launch Voices at Work, a new project bringing together disabled people to share their lived experiences of employment and help shape what truly inclusive workplaces should look like.

Running from November 2025 to April 2026, the project will be co-produced by a core Steering Group and a Wider Consultation Group, exploring the barriers and opportunities disabled people encounter in employment. Participants will contribute their expertise to develop practical, sustainable solutions — and everyone involved will be paid for their time and knowledge.

To ensure a wide range of perspectives, the project will focus on experiences of people with visual or hearing impairments, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis.

The project is funded by Glasgow Futures, and the Scottish and UK Governments.
